Clayton Municipal Schools is located in the Northeast corner of New Mexico in the quaint community of Clayton, New Mexico. Clayton has a population of approximately 3,000. The town of Clayton is spread over a 7 square mile area. The economy is based primarily off of the cattle industry, but there are some of the big city luxuries located here as well. There is a coffee bistro, computer and network services, retail shops, and much much more.
Clayton Municipal Schools has a student population of approximately 550 students. These students are spread throughout different schools located in various portions of the Town. These buildings that make up the Clayton Municipal School District are Alvis Elementary, Kiser Elementary, Clayton Junior High School, and Clayton High School. The school mascot is the yellow jacket. The school colors are Orange and Black.
